Celebrating International Women’s Day 2024

2016: #PledgeforParity, 2017: #BeBoldforChange, 2018: #PressforProgress, 2019: #BalanceforBetter, 2020: #EachforEqual, 2021: #ChoosetoChallenge,2022: #BreakTheBias
2023: #EmbraceEquity 2024: #InspireInclusion

This year, Men for Inclusion are once again deeply aligned with the chosen theme for International Women’s Day: "Inspire Inclusion." We are committed to encouraging more men to embrace inclusive leadership and actively support Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) Initiatives.

As we gear up for the events in March, we are curating thought-provoking content and captivating keynotes that delve into the evolving narrative of International Women's Day. The progression of themes over the years, from #PledgeforParity in 2016 to our current focus on #InspireInclusion in 2024, reflects a shift towards a more nuanced and inclusive approach mirroring societal changes.

Our primary focus areas include:

Evolution of Annual Themes: We aim to explore the transformation of International Women's Day themes from forceful calls to challenge and break barriers to a more universal emphasis on Equity and Inclusion. Why have we shifted from highlighting Bias, the need for Progress, Better, and Change?

Women's Empowerment: We seek to examine how women have embraced opportunities in a more inclusive society, liberating themselves from outdated stereotypes.

Men's Engagement: We'll shine a light on the concerning trend of men lagging behind in breaking free from outdated male stereotypes, hindering overall progress towards more inclusive workplaces. Can narratives shared by men about their positive experiences within an inclusive environment inspire others to become inclusion leaders and champions? Is that the

#InspireInclusion call to action.

“We don’t often talk about men being imprisoned by gender stereotypes but I can see that that they are and that when they are free, things will change for women as a natural consequence.” Emma Watson at the Launch of #HeForShe Sept 2014.
