Chartered Banker Insitute - Podcast Series - International Women’s Day 2024

This year’s International Women’s Day will take place on Friday 8th March with the theme #InspireInclusion. This theme is highly topical for the financial sector – traditionally a male-dominated space - and underpins the need for financial organisations to have a firm focus on inclusive leadership and positive action within the workplace.

As such, it is important to create a space where financial professionals can be part of the conversation around inclusive leadership without fear of getting it wrong. This podcast series will aim to create that space for all professionals, providing a platform to answer questions about real-life experiences, the reasons behind inclusion efforts, and how to #InspireInclusion.

Overview:

This podcast series will be launched in partnership with the Chartered Banker Institute and Men For Inclusion, initially as a three-part series (plus introductory episode) but with the option to extend depending on initial engagement.

The premise of the podcast will focus on promoting inclusive leadership in the financial services sector through answering anonymous questions sent in by members of the Chartered Banker Institute. These questions will include:

  • Real-life experiences: This covers all experiences with around leadership in the workplace in which the listener was unsure on how to act, respond, or manage the outcome of said experience.
  • Understanding inclusion training: In some instances, listeners may not have had any direct experiences that they can recall but want to seek clarification on how they should act in certain situations to adhere to current inclusion standards.

By offering anonymity for all questions, the podcast aims to create an honest space for listeners to gain clarity on issues of which they were previously unsure about and offer the opportunity to open a discussion which is productive, fair and delivered by professionals.
