This year marks a significant milestone for WiRE (Women in Renewable Energy) as they celebrate their 10th anniversary! Over the past decade, they have experienced tremendous growth and success, and they are incredibly proud of what they have achieved.

Starting from a single chapter in Toronto, Ontario, they have expanded their reach globally, establishing chapters in nearly every continent. WiRE has grown to over 25 chapters, over 180 events with more than 7,000 attendees, and an online community of 26,000 and counting! This expansion is a testament to their commitment to fostering a diverse and inclusive community in the clean energy sector. They are excited about the future as they continue to grow, with plans to establish even more chapters around the globe.

They owe their success to the many inspiring women and men who have generously volunteered their time and shared their knowledge. Their contributions have been instrumental in building their global community. It has truly been a team effort, and they are deeply grateful for their support. Without them, they would not have been able to make the impact that they have.

Their mission is to advance the role and recognition of women and other underrepresented groups in the clean energy sector. They believe that this mission is more critical than ever as they strive for a just energy transition. They are committed to empowering women globally, ensuring they receive the recognition, support, and opportunities they deserve.
