Really happy to be part of a great Utility Week Live panel event yesterday with the award-winning rising star Justine Leadbetter, a genuine real-life inclusive leader in Mike Keil and the brilliant Fiona Jackson (she/her/hers), all expertly chaired by industry legend Hayley Monks MCICM (Grad).
A great discussion on how all of us can build a more inclusive world of work that enables everyone to have equity of opportunity irrespective of their own personal characteristics. If we create inclusive workplaces, diversity will naturally follow. If we want more women in the utilities sector, we have to make sure they have a great experience when they get there.
We cannot improve diversity in our teams every day (but we should take the opportunities when they arise), but we can all improve inclusion every single day.
