Even Well-Intentioned Leaders Get It Wrong: Breaking Down Barriers to True Gender Equity

Even if we are well intentioned, we still get this stuff wrong.

That was one of the things I wanted to get across at my I.D.E.A.L. Network Academy session last week, Conversations on Gender – and what the barriers are when it comes to true equity.

Being aware of what these barriers are and how we might be unconsciously bolstering them is the first step towards being more inclusive. Making mistakes is just part of being human – but recognising when you’ve misstepped, taking accountability and learning for next time is what the best leaders do.
