Gary Ford Shares Inclusive Leadership Insights on the Governance 2026 Panel

Inclusive Governance and Leadership

A real honour to be able to join The Chartered Governance Institute UK & Ireland‘s annual conference today – Governance 2026.

It was so insightful hearing from the expertise of Eileen Mullan CDir, Kako Mavalla and of course, our amazing chair, Kayla Schembri on Leadership, Legacy & Diversity.

I thoroughly enjoyed the conversation on the many practical ways that leaders with an inclusive mindset are having impact in the boardroom, executive leadership groups and beyond. We discussed the importance of everyone needing to take ownership of building the right culture, rather than expecting others to do it for us.

Good corporate governance promotes leadership accountability and ownership. Our discussion highlighted the critical need to make sure that ownership includes stewarding the right inclusive environment – in every interaction we have.

This is all of our work.

And guess what, the benefits of inclusive leadership are manifold – building trust, high performance and long-lasting relationships which will continue developing all of us as leaders no matter where we are in our careers.

Thank you Kayla, Alice Burton, Libby Taylor for organising such an impactful conference.
