Inclusion and belonging must power the Energy Transition

This week I had the pleasure of attending the launch of the latest POWERful Women State of the Nation report, a powerful moment of reflection and a timely wake-up call for the UK energy sector.

The report’s message is clear: if we want to meet our Net Zero goals, we must embed inclusion and belonging at the heart of our strategies.

📢 It was fantastic to be at the launch of the latest POWERful Women State of the Nation report this morning. It is a vital reminder: if the UK energy sector is to meet its Net Zero goals, we must embed inclusion and belonging at the heart of our strategies.

đź’ˇ As the report makes clear, “diverse talent and supportive workplace cultures… have never been as important.” Inclusion is not a nice-to-have—it’s business-critical for resilience, innovation, and performance.

At Men for Inclusion, we’ve long observed that inclusion and belonging aren’t just good for people—they’re essential to the sector’s ability to attract the talent it needs and to make better, more sustainable decisions.

🙌 We’re proud to be working alongside progressive leaders like National Grid, National Energy System Operator, and ScottishPower —firms that are not only driving the energy transition but also demonstrating that building inclusive cultures is key to success.

Let’s keep pushing for equity, representation, and environments where everyone feels they belong. Because the path to Net Zero must be powered by everyone. ⚡
